Alex Chen obtained his bachelor’s degree in Municipal and Environmental Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and Environmental Science-Ecology from the University of Waterloo. He then received his doctoral degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He also had post-doctoral research experiences at the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Alex has extensive expertise in drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, eutrophication remediation, soil remediation, and environmental monitoring. He has served as the CEO of a technology company and is very experienced with project management, investment raising, and product development. Besides, Alex has several refereed publications in well-recognized journals as well as many conference publications. Alex is also the Chair of the Chinese Environmental Scholars and Professionals Network - Canada and served as an advisor member of environmental NGOs.

Michael obtained his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology and Ecology from the University of Waterloo. He later received his Master of Applied Sciences degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Michael is specialized in: drinking water treatment, membrane technologies, ultrapure water processes, industrial wastewater treatment, disinfection and sterilization, and clean utilities. He has gained great expertise in process design and project management through his experience working in engineering consulting firms as a process engineer and a project manager. Michael has been involved in the management of a number of multi-million projects and participated in several multi-billion projects. Besides, Michael is a Director of the Association of Chinese Canadian Environmental & Municipal Professionals and also a member of AWWA and ISPE.

Bruce is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries with extensive industry experiences in actuarial risk management, quantitative finance, investment management, and asset/liability valuation. Graduated from the University of Waterloo, he holds a Master of Mathematics Degree in actuarial science and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in finance. Bruce currently assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer and oversees all financial functionalities at ALCLE.    

Bruce Fang

Heli Xu obtained his bachelor degree in Biotechnology from the Huaqiao University, China, and received his master degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph, Canada. Heli is specialized in environmental microbiology, municipal wastewater treatment design, advanced oxidization process, water resources management, stormwater management, and environmental monitoring. He has worked as a research scientist at the China Academy of Sciences (CAS) for environmental microbiology and watershed ecology research. He also participated in multiple water resources management and pollution mitigation projects led by Ontario municipals and conservation authorities. He is also a member of IWA and WEAO.
    
Heli Xu

Luqi Cui obtained her bachelor degree in Geophysics from both China University of Mining and Technologies and the University of Waterloo. She then received her master degree in Geophysics from the Western University. She is specialized in data analysis, market research, business development, administrative managing, information management, database management, and initiating telecommunications. She is the member of the Chinese Environmental Scholars and Professionals Network.

ALCLE benefits greatly from its advisory board which contributes to our business development and oversees our project implementation. The board consists of senior consultants, professors, government officials and research scientists.

Dr. Shaun Frape, Professor at the Department of Earth Science at the University of Waterloo. His expertise mainly focuses on hydrogeology and geochemistry, specialized in groundwater flow systems as well as isotopic tracers for source attribution and contaminant fate tracking in natural/industrial systems. He has extensive research and project experiences globally including China, Europe, and North America. 
Dr. Shaun Frape

Dr. Raymond Legge is a Professor of Chemical Engineering and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the University of Waterloo.  His expertise is in biochemical engineering with applications to environmental engineering, water treatment, green bioprocesses, and pharmaceuticals. During his career he has published over 140 refereed publications, 10 book chapters and review articles, over 180 refereed conference and non-refereed conference proceedings and 3 patents. His career Google Scholar h-index is 37. He has served widely as a consultant both in the private and public sector.
        
Dr. Raymond Legge

Dr.Carolyn Ren is a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Waterloo and is also a member of Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology. She leads the Waterloo Microfluidics Laboratory to perform innovative research on the microfluidics and nanofluidics as well as the development of integrated Lab-on-a-Chip technology. She is also the Canada Research Chair in Droplet Microfluics and Lab-on-a-Chip Technology.
   
Dr. Carolyn Ren

David Shen is the Civil Engineering Lead at SNC Lavalin Ottawa office. Having Served in various research institutions, consulting firms, and public sector, he has 16 years of experience in research, planning, design, construction, asset management, and operation liaison of water/wastewater infrastructures. He is a long standing member of Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) and MOECC Wastewater Practitioners Group. David currently also serves as an external panel reviewer with Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) as an industrial expert.

Professor Taylor has studied diverse aquatic ecosystems, including lakes, rivers, and wetlands, focusing on nutrient cycles and food webs. He has been a Tier I Canada Research Chair and was the Canadian Co-Chair of the Science Advisory Board of the International Joint Commission.  He was awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards by the Canadian Council of University Biology Chairs and the Canadian Society of Limnologists.

Hailin Wang, CEO of the ETO Engineering in Toronto. He obtained his master degree from University of Toronto. With 20 years of experiences in industrial and municipal wastewater operation, he served in various environmental technologies companies and consulting firms as project manager and process design manager. He was also involved in the innovation and development of membrane bioreactor process. He is currently a committee member of Wastewater Treatment and Technologies at Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO).
    
Hailin Wang

Dr. William B. Anderson is a Research Associate Professor and the Associate Director of the Water Science, Technology & Policy Group at the University of Waterloo. He has been active in drinking water quality and treatment research for 37 years, recently focusing on perfluorinated compounds, cyanobacterial toxins, pathogen removal/inactivation, and biological filtration. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Ontario Water Works Association and the Walkerton Clean Water Centre, and was involved with the revision and update of the Ontario Ministry of the Environment ‘Design Guidelines for Drinking-Water Systems’ and the ‘Optimization Guidance Manual for Drinking Water Systems’.
